Vestibular Rehabilitation
The vestibular system is responsible for our sense of movement awareness and a big player in our balance system. Sometimes things can go wrong with this system and can cause vertigo or "dizziness". At the PTC, we have therapists trained in vestibular rehabilitation to help with conditions such as, but not limited to, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) or vestibular hypofunction. In cases like BPPV, we do simple positional maneuvers to get the tiny crystal like stones in our vestibular system back into the right place. In more complex cases of vertigo, we will work with you to help you adapt to symptom producing movements to help you function better!
